1. About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how JRJ Global Ltd (“JRJ Global”, “we”, “us” or “our”) processes personal data in connection with VoiceConnect, our cloud communications platform, including cloud PBX, messaging, WhatsApp Business Platform integrations, calling, call routing, contact-centre features and related administration tools.
Important: VoiceConnect is primarily provided to businesses. Where a business customer uses VoiceConnect to communicate with its own customers, staff or contacts, that business may be the data controller for those communications and JRJ Global may act as its processor.
2. Who we are
JRJ Global Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales under company number 12142674, with registered office at 8 Percy Boulton Grove, Stoke-On-Trent, Staffordshire ST4 8WL, United Kingdom.
Privacy enquiries can be sent to support@jrjglobal.com.
3. Information we may process
Depending on the VoiceConnect services enabled by a customer, we may process:
- Business account details, administrator names, work email addresses and telephone numbers.
- User and agent account information, extension numbers, roles, tenant membership and authentication records.
- Telephone numbers, contact names and communication identifiers used to send or receive calls and messages.
- Message content, attachments and message status information where messaging services are enabled.
- Call metadata, including calling/called numbers, timestamps, duration, routing information, answer status and technical call identifiers.
- Call recordings and voicemail where a customer has enabled those features and has the required lawful basis or permissions.
- WhatsApp Business Platform identifiers such as WhatsApp Business Account IDs, phone number IDs, message IDs, calling identifiers and delivery/read status events.
- Device, browser, IP address, security, audit and diagnostic information needed to operate and protect the service.
- Billing, support and service-administration records.
4. How we obtain information
We receive information directly from business customers and their authorised users, from people who communicate with a VoiceConnect-enabled business, and from connected service providers such as telecommunications carriers and Meta/WhatsApp where those services are enabled.
5. How we use personal data
- To provide, route and manage calls, messages, voicemail and other communications.
- To authenticate users and enforce tenant and account security.
- To deliver message and call status information and maintain communication history.
- To provide customer support, troubleshoot faults and maintain service reliability.
- To prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorised access and security incidents.
- To administer subscriptions, billing and customer accounts.
- To comply with legal, regulatory and contractual obligations.
- To improve VoiceConnect where this can be done lawfully and appropriately.
6. Lawful bases
Depending on the context, our lawful bases under UK data protection law may include performance of a contract, legitimate interests in operating and securing our services, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where consent is required. Business customers are responsible for determining the lawful basis for the communications and data they place into VoiceConnect.
7. WhatsApp and Meta services
Where a customer connects a WhatsApp Business Account to VoiceConnect, certain information is exchanged with Meta Platforms and the WhatsApp Business Platform to send and receive messages, obtain delivery/read status, enable supported calling features and administer the connected business number.
Use of WhatsApp is also subject to the terms and privacy practices of Meta and WhatsApp. VoiceConnect does not require customers to disclose their Meta passwords to JRJ Global.
8. Sharing and service providers
We may share data only where necessary with service providers that help us deliver VoiceConnect, such as hosting providers, telecommunications carriers, messaging platforms, security providers, payment/billing providers and professional advisers. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect the rights, security or integrity of our customers, users or systems.
9. International transfers
Some service providers may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers and require service providers to protect personal data in accordance with applicable law.
10. Data retention
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, the customer’s configured retention settings, contractual requirements, security needs and applicable legal obligations. Different types of data may have different retention periods. Customers may also request deletion where applicable.
11. Security
We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data, including access controls, tenant separation, encrypted transport, protected credentials, audit controls and restricted administrative access. No internet-based service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
12. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, individuals may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict the processing of personal data, object to certain processing, and request portability of data. Where JRJ Global processes information on behalf of a VoiceConnect business customer, we may need to refer a request to that customer.
To make a privacy request, email support@jrjglobal.com with enough information for us to identify the relevant account or service.
13. Data deletion
Instructions for requesting deletion of VoiceConnect and Meta/WhatsApp-related data are available on our Data Deletion page.
14. Complaints
If you have concerns about how we use your information, please contact us first so we can investigate. Individuals in the United Kingdom also have the right to raise concerns with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in VoiceConnect, legal requirements or the services we use. The latest version will always be published at this URL with its revision date.
